The apartment

The open-plan layout is bright and sun-filled, with views of the pool and garden. Both bedrooms have twin beds and built-in wardrobes for plenty of storage. The spacious open kitchen has a cooking island, a combination oven and a side-by-side refrigerator, so you can cook and still be part of the conversation. Large glass folding doors open the living area onto the generous covered terrace, turning inside and outside into one big living space.

The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a double vanity, and there is a washing machine and separate owner’s closet for extra convenience. The apartment is sold fully furnished, with stylish, comfortable furniture that matches the resort’s modern look.

The resort

Belnem House Bonaire is an intimate, adult-friendly boutique resort in Belnem, one of Bonaire’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Its apartments are set around a tropical garden with a pool, pool bar and grill. The resort’s motto is “arrive as a guest, leave as a friend,” and personal attention and tailor-made service are what set it apart.

Sustainability is at the heart of the resort. It was built with a small ecological footprint and runs almost entirely on its own solar power with battery storage. That makes it largely independent of the public power supply.

Guests and travel professionals have recognized the resort many times. It is a two-time Corendon Hotel of the Year, has won a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice award and a Booking.com Traveller Review Award, and was named by National Geographic as one of the best places to stay in the world.

Location and Amenities

Bonaire’s famous dive and snorkel sites, beaches, beach clubs, restaurants and the center of Kralendijk are all within walking distance or a short drive. The airport is just minutes away, and a shuttle is available on request.

Ownership and rental

When you buy the apartment, you also receive a share in the resort’s operating company, so you become a co-owner of Belnem House Bonaire. Rentals are handled exclusively by the operating company under a guest management agreement, from bookings to guest care, so you don’t have to arrange anything yourself. As an owner, you are also a member of the owners’ association.

Rental performance

Occupancy is stable at around 70%. This figure only counts guest bookings; nights when owners stay in their own apartment (about 5%) are not included. Bookings come in through several channels: Corendon, Booking.com and the resort’s own website. Like elsewhere in the travel market, guests are booking closer to their travel dates. Belnem House responds to this with dynamic pricing, adjusting rates to demand.
